I'm curious what you guys do for your strength and conditioning.

I've been using a low tech approach . For strength I've been throwing around a homemade Sandbag / Dufflebag and several Kettlebells 20kg and 10kg. For conditioning I do mountain biking and the heavy bag.

I really like the sandbag and the kettlebells, you have to work at stabilizing them, specifically the sandbag where the weight shifts around as you lift it making it a lot more difficult.

Share up some of the methods you guys use

I just recently jumped onto the CrossFit bandwagon :)

I've been training off and on for years, followed many many different protocols depending on my goals the time. As I got older my focus changed and was less about how I looked and more about how I performed under stress.

So functional strength and endurance is what I have been trying to focus my efforts on and I believe CrossFit is a great way to do this. It is not the ONLY way but it makes for a great workout that is both challenging and fun, which is important to me. Plus the range and variety CF offers is excellent!

Checkout some CrossFit vids on YouTube and you'll get a sense of what it's about.

I like your training methods John. Low tech is usually better than any machine or fancy equipment. Good old fashioned circuit training working on the anaerobic system is awesome for preparing for a fight.

Hi guys im by no mean a fit guru but what i find works for me is a week cycle of different exercises. for example first week hit the eliptical machine for 20min varying your difficulty level work up a good sweat. then go to good old close grip (shoulder width apart) pull ups sets of your choice. then some push up sit ups and the likes there of. own sets again and bag work. the next week some road running various distances, skipping rope , shuttle runs with and without a bag or buddie carry, 25meters shuttle runs try for 10 shuttles runs in under a minute and inteance but own paced shadow boxing with 1 or 2kg weights own choice again.thorw in or take out any exercises its all own preference. you know your body and its limits better than anyone in a magazine but hard work brings rich rewards.

What I´ve been using for years is the program offered by the British Combat Association (Peter Consterdine). It´s heavybag work mixed up with conditioning exercises and weight training. Good ideas that cost nearly nothing (if having a heavyback), no technologie, old style but really effective. A friend of mine told me he´s training the Lee Morrison combat conditioning system (also low cost and old style), but I don´t have experience with the system yet. Anybody having tried this system out?

Similar to lee Morrison's combat conditioning. Ross Enamait focuses on low tech conditioning training. I bought his book Never Gymless. It is dedicated to home-based workouts which negate the need for a fully equipped gym.
